During her twenty-year career in the financial industry, Phyllis has been committed to developing solid relationships with her clients and helping them transition financially as they move through their lives.
Phyllis was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She grew up swimming competitively and helping out on their family ranch. A job transfer brought Phyllis to Greensboro in 1989. Phyllis joined the mortgage finance industry where she was part of the Product Development team at AIG/United Guaranty Mortgage Insurance Company for 14 years. In 2006, Phyllis’ career evolved to the financial services industry when she joined an independent advisory firm. Phyllis established Green Valley Wealth Management in 2011.
Phyllis holds the internationally recognized professional CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. Also, she is securities-registered, insurance-licensed, and an Investment Adviser Representative. Phyllis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Senior Executive Institute.
Phyllis’ professional memberships include the Financial Planning Association, Society of Financial Services Professionals/Greensboro Associate, and the Greensboro Women’s Professional Forum.
Locally, Phyllis is currently the President of the Junior League of Greensboro Sustainers. She serves on the Randolph-Macon College Parent’s Swim Team Board. She is a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and their Women’s Club, and the Guild of Family Services of Greensboro. Phyllis’s past civic affiliations include President of the Junior League of Greensboro, Board Member of the Guild of Family Services, and Zone Parent for the North Carolina West Point Parents Association. Phyllis enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and large extended family. She enjoys visiting them (wherever they may be), exercising, and being with friends.
